Apa itu SWIFT Code Bank ?
SWIFT adalah singkatan dari SWIFT is the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication. Mereka menyediakan produk dan layanan yang memungkinkan pelanggan mereka (lebih dari 9.000, lembaga sekuritas dan nasabah korporasi di 209 negara) untuk terhubung dalam pertukaran informasi keuangan secara aman dan andal. SWIFT memungkinkan pelanggan mereka untuk mengotomatisasi dan menstandarisasi transaksi keuangan, dengan tujuan menurunkan biaya, mengurangi risiko operasional dan menghilangkan ketidak-efisienan dari operasi mereka.

SWIFT adalah pembawa pesan. SWIFT tidak memiliki akses atas dana dan juga tidak terlibat dalam pengelolaan account atas nama pelanggan, juga tidak menyimpan informasi keuangan secara terus-menerus. Sebagai pembawa data, SWIFT mengangkut pesan antara dua lembaga keuangan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan pertukaran data yang aman milik sambil menjamin kerahasiaan dan integritas

SWIFT address adalah 8 atau 11 karakter alphanumeric yang unik yang panjangnya sesuai dengan international standard untuk mengidetifikasi institusi keuangan kita. SWIFT juga dikenal sebagai BIC (Bank Identifier Code).

SWIFT itu network yang terdiri dari bank-bank internasional dan Kode Swift digunakan untuk komunikasi antar bank, masing-masing bank memiliki SWIFT code yang unik. SWIFT code digunakan pada saat kita hendak melakukan wire transfer ke bank lain di luar negeri. Jadi untuk transfer uang ke bank A di luar negeri, kita butuh SWIFT code dari bank tersebut agar uangnya bisa terkirim sampai ke tujuan.
